About Department
Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC)-Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) is state level resource centre for rehabilitation and special education of persons with disabilities under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. The core aim of the CRC is to create resources and infrastructure required to develop services for persons with disabilities in the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh including those affected with JE/AES. CRC- Gorakhpur is committed to provide rehabilitation services to all the disabilities specified in the RPwD Act-2016. It became functional in 2018 and is functioning under the administrative control of National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), Dehradun (Uttrakhand).
